Quilt show season is one of my favorite times of the year! There’s nothing quite like being surrounded by creative quilters, sewists, embroidery enthusiasts, and fabric lovers who all share a passion for quilting, sewing, and handmade memory projects. Every quilt show is filled with inspiration, beautiful quilts, new techniques, and exciting ideas for photo memory quilts, DIY gifts, mini quilts, and personalized sewing projects. I especially love meeting customers in person, hearing the stories behind their quilts, and seeing the amazing projects they’ve created using Photo Quilt Blocks.

Tips for Attending a Quilt Show

• Wear comfortable shoes – Did you know it takes 24 hours for your tennis shoe padding to recover from a day of walking? Bring two pairs to rotate so you have the most comfortable ride!
• Bring a tote bag – Rolling carts aren’t allowed through the doors, but sometimes you can find a vendor that is selling them in the event 😉
• Take photos for inspiration – but make sure to ask the booth owner if that is allowed.
• Attend demos and classes – education is so fun…don’t skip this step!
• Shop early for limited items – Make sure to grab your favorites as you find them as they might not be there when you circle back around!
• Bring measurements/projects
• Talk to vendors – we love to hear what you need for your projects
• Plan your shopping budget – but be flexible….you never know when you’ll find the deal of the year!
